WWE Hell In A Cell 2020: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True
6. Elias Smashes Jeff Hardy
Nobody will let Jeff Hardy forget his past; he's doomed to be told over and over and over again that he should be ashamed of himself for succumbing to personal demons. Then, fans are doomed to hear (also over and over and over and over and over) that Jeff has redeemed himself by becoming totally sober.
Good on Hardy for pulling things back from the brink, but man does he need fresh material. His match with Elias at HIAC came about because Eli believes Jeff hit him with his rental car months ago before SmackDown. Sadly for him and anyone who cares about facts, WWE already told the world that Sheamus had set Hardy up all along.
Therefore, Elias' accusations look silly.
Raw also dropped heavy hints that the heel will pull a fast one on the baby this weekend. Jeff outsmarted Elias during his own concert, so it makes sense that WWE's usual telegraph style leads to some sort of screwy Eli win at HIAC. This doesn't finish on Sunday.
