WWE Hell In A Cell 2022: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
2. Hell In A Cell: Cody Rhodes Vs. Seth Rollins
Result: Cody destroys Seth with two Cross Rhodes followed by a sledgehammer hit, putting him down for the count (24:20).
Rating: The main event was quite brilliantly centered around both the psychological warfare Rollins was enacting on Cody by dressing up in his father's attire, and Cody's grim pectoral injury.
While hardly the most exciting, creative, or fast-paced Hell in a Cell match anyone's ever seen, Cody and Seth worked hard to make us feel the personal stakes and the physicality of it all.
The weapons, the many, many kick-outs, the methodical brutality - it all added up to a strong third encounter between the pair, if not their best.
You can debate how sensible it is to have Cody work a match like this with a clearly horrific injury, and how having Rollins lose to him isn't exactly a good look after two prior losses, but it was still a very respectable and entertaining closer in its own right. 7/10
