WWE Hell in a Cell PPV: Predictions

Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz - Inter-Continental Championship

Kingston Kingston vs. The Miz In all honesty, I was expecting this pay-per view to be the show where The Miz drops the belt to Ryback. But due to injury issues and Ryback's increasing 'popularity' he has bypassed the mid-card titles and jumped straight into the main event. It has been less than two weeks since Kofi won the belt from Michael Biehn - sorry, The Miz - and since this is not the Attitude Era, it's very rare a belt changes hands after just a fortnight. Especially straight back to the previous holder. After losing his tag team title at Night of Champions, Kofi was quick to re-capture gold with his fourth Inter-Continental championship on the Wednesday show Main Event, further proving himself as the king of the mid-card. It came as a slight shock to some: despite beating The Miz cleanly two days earlier, it came via a reckless Trouble in Paradise that caused Miz to bleed. No action was taken, however, and now Kofi holds the belt (albeit the first in its classic design) once again. It becomes a classic case of the rematch clause, where the champion nearly always wins. Prediction: Kofi Kingston to retain.
