Team Hell No vs. Team Rhodes Scholars - WWE Tag Team Championships
Daniel Bryan & Kane are riding the crest of a wave of popularity. By far the most entertaining part of the WWE currently, they can make anything they're a part of, no matter how ridiculous, seem golden. Even without their supporting act of Dr Shelby. A fine example is last week's 'Newly-Tag Game', a spin on the apparently well-known American TV show the Newlywed Game. Kane delivering the deadpan revelation of enjoying "long walks on the beach, rainbows and puppies" and Bryan's ecstasy at winning by forfeit was priceless - in the hands of anyone else on the roster it could've been the most awkward segment in history. Damien Sandow & Cody Rhodes, on the other hand, have been working their way through a tag team tournament, defeating the likes of The Usos, the pairing of Zack Ryder & Santino Marella then finally the masked luchadors Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara. It's refreshing to finally see emphasis on the tag division after the painful last couple of years.
Prediction: Team Hell No are so popular right now it seems weird that they would drop the belts after just a month, but it also seems unlikely you'd have a team win a tournament only to fall at the final hurdle. Possibly against my better judgement, the champions will prevail.
