3. Is Cena Working For The Authority, Is The Long Awaited Heel Turn Coming?
One interesting thing to note from the Survivor Series angle was John Cena's relationship with Hunter and Stephanie being portrayed as a grey area. Firstly, we seen John talking normally with the pair backstage. Secondly, when John came out to confront Orton, he stood in between Steph and Hunter as if he was in cahoots with them. Could the John Cena heel turn be finally coming? If it was Punk for example there is no way he would talk politely to the Authority and stand next to them. What is really going on here? Is Cena being used by the authority to get the championship off Orton who is viewed by Hunter as a disappointment? You have to think there would be creative logic in Cena turning heel in all of this. The fact is that Cena really has been "the face of the WWE" and "corporate champion" for years now. This angle could be the big reveal which pushes Cena over the edge as a character, John could reveal the Cena character has been an act all along and he is here now as himself - the man who works for Hunter and Steph to represent the WWE. Perhaps Cena beats Orton at TLC to become the face of the company and one true champion, and then Daniel Bryan wins the Royal Rumble to take on this new super heel Cena at Wrestlemania 3o. Makes sense. Would be great heat and creative. The Daniel Bryan crowd reactions at Survivor Series demonstrated that the bearded one is still the most over act in the company. The biggest cheered guy in the company against the biggest booed guy would make for a great Mania main event.
