WWE King Of The Ring 2019: 7 Ways WWE Can Make It Work

6. Ignore Any And All Brand Warfare Bullsh*t

One thing WWE must absolutely avoid is turning this into some more Raw vs. SmackDown fluff. That idea is archaic and totally unnecessary to KOTR's success in 2019. In fact, some 'Us vs. Them' brand supremacy b*llocks would actually hinder the new tourney's chances of registering with the audience.

They need to ignore it.

Brand division means little at the moment, and in fact only seems to matter when WWE realise Survivor Series is on the horizon and they haven't the foggiest clue how to promote it. Suddenly, brand loyalty becomes a pressing concern for a few weeks, and everyone pretends like wearing a red or blue shirt means something.

WWE named eight stars from Raw and eight from SmackDown on their official website for KOTR 2019. Hopefully, they'll just explain this away as fairness then dispense with the unwanted, phoney war between both major shows. It's neither needed nor a good idea if crowning a new King is the eventual focal point.
