WWE Legend Says Logan Paul Had A Better Year Than AEW Star
Do you agree with this WWE legend? Did Logan Paul's 2022 beat this AEW man's year?
WWE legend Shane Helms/The Hurricane thinks Logan Paul should've been handed Pro Wrestling Illustrated's 'Rookie Of The Year' award for 2022.
Helms quoted PWI's tweet about both AEW star Hook and NXT man Bron Breakker being in the running and said: "With all due respect, how does anyone other than Logan Paul get 'Rookie Of The Year' for 2022? He had one of the best first years in the biz I’ve ever seen".
When others pointed out that LP had only worked three bouts last year, Helms was ready with an answer. He called matches vs. The Mysterios (with The Miz at WrestleMania 38), Miz (SummerSlam) and Roman Reigns (Crown Jewel) evidence that Paul "killed" on "the absolute biggest stages imaginable".
Shane reckons that should've been enough to tip the voting for PWI's award in Logan's favour. Of course, there's a chance some wrestling fans just want to see more of Paul before making their minds up about him. Or, perhaps they just really liked Hook's work over in AEW.
Helms did say this about the All Elite rookie: "Hook’s doing awesome, but no one had a first year like Logan. Not even close".
