WWE Looking To Sign THIS Interesting Free Agent
WWE set to add to talent pool with former IMPACT and NWA man?
Free agent Nick Aldis is reportedly on WWE's radar.
PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that WWE has "high interest" in the former NWA World's Heavyweight Champion, having considered him for a producer's role.
Later, the same outlet noted that IMPACT Wrestling sources had praised Aldis for his recent work in the company. His story, which seemingly concluded at Slammiversary this past weekend, was "specifically designed to have a beginning, a middle, and an end." Aldis "nailed" every element of it.
Aldis was defeated by IMPACT World Champion Alex Shelley at Slammiversary, capping his run with a defeat. Before returning to the promotion that helped him break out as Magnus in the late 2000s, the 36-year-old had been a free agent for several months, severing ties with the NWA after a lengthy run highlighted by a 1,043-day reign as Worlds Heavyweight Champion last November.
Said NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship reign is ultimately what Aldis is known best for in 2023. His second run with the gold, it commenced with a win over Cody Rhodes in October 2018, ending on a defeat to former WWE star Trevor Murdoch in August 2021.
