WrestleVotes Radio is reporting that WWE has significant creative plans for rising star Stephanie Vaquer. According to them, there are already several ideas for character upgrades under consideration behind the curtain. That's interesting, because it suggests that Triple H and WWE generally want to develop and cultivate a proper personality for the Chilean star.

Vaquer recently bagged a guaranteed Women's World Title match at Clash In Paris by winning a 20-strong Battle Royal at the all-female Evolution PLE. She lastly eliminated Lash Legend to emerge victorious, then was interviewed by none other than Stephanie McMahon post match. It's believed that this last step was done to position Vaquer as a huge star going forwards.

McMahon doesn't make too many WWE appearances these days, so it was considered special by announcers.

It remains to be seen if Vaquer will be doing anything of note come SummerSlam across 2-3 August in New Jersey, but she's definitely going to be a big part of the show in France on 31 August. At time of writing, it's Naomi who holds the Women's World Championship - she gatecrashed a match between Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY at Evolution by cashing in her Money In The Bank briefcase, then left with the gold.

Vaquer challenging Naomi could be some match if WWE handles it correctly. To get there, they'd surely need to add those "character upgrades" mentioned before.

Vaquer's Rapid Rise Through WWE Is Impressive

It's easy to forget that Stephanie Vaquer only made her WWE debut on 13 July 2024. That was a house show win over ex-WWE star Isla Dawn, and Vaquer didn't begin appearing on television regularly until September. In other words, she hasn't actually been around the promotion's product all that long, so her rise up the ranks has been thunderous.

Vaquer held both the NXT Women's North American and NXT Women's Titles during her stay in development. That stint might've been shorter than some expected, but Shawn Michaels clearly told his old buddy Trips that Stephanie was somebody to keep an eye on. Heeding that advice, 'The Game' promoted Vaquer to the main roster shortly after WrestleMania 41.

Since then, she's looked impressive on Raw and WWE PLE. It sounds so cliched to say, but the sky really is the limit for Vaquer. She's still only 32 years old, and there's a sense she's just getting started in WWE. If Hunter and his creative team do add some more character wrinkles to her act, then she'll almost certainly be one of the most over names on the entire roster soon.

Vaquer's fans should start getting really excited.
