WWE Match Types You Will NEVER See Again

2. Bra & Panties

Admit it, you knew this one would be here somewhere.

WWF/WWE used to be obsessed with the thought of women tearing off clothing. "Bra & Panties" matches even decided championships, which is a rather depressing commentary on the state of women's wrestling before a modern cast of characters changed the game and rescued everyone from dreaded spin-off featuring jelly or gravy.

Oddly, Jim Cornette (of all people) said it best when he remarked that there were erm...other forms of media people could check out online if they wanted titillation. A pro wrestling show, even under the broadest of "sports entertainment" playbooks set out by WWE, wasn't the best place for that.

WWE's attitude towards women's wrestling has changed for the better in the modern era. Now, you're more likely to see excellent workers like Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch or IYO SKY tear the house down without having to haul at one another's clothes.

This will never return, people.
