WWE Money In The Bank: 14 Things You Might Have Missed
12. Renee Sheds A Tear
It's a long-established truth that, short of the wrestlers themselves, the most reliable performers in WWE are the video editing team. Every week they knock together video packages that trim the fat from the WWE's often flagging product and make something genuinely rousing. They outdid themselves with their Dusty Rhodes tribute video, crafting a summary of the legend's career that was funny, impassioned and deeply moving. Renee Young felt the full force of it on the kickoff show. After the video aired for the first time, it was Young's job to provide segue voiceover to the next segment. What the viewer heard was Young struggling, and failing, to fight tears from the tribute she'd just witnessed. Somehow made even more moving that fans could only hear her rather than seeing her, it was a stark and touching moment of unscripted human vulnerability so rarely seen in WWE's heavily polished productions.
