WWE Money In The Bank 2016: 10 Things WWE Got Right

5. Casting Kevin Owens As The Top Heel In The Ladder Match

There's an opportunity to slide Kevin Owens into the spot previously occupied by Dean Ambrose. Before winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title, Ambrose was the 'nearly man' of the main roster - the kind on the cusp of becoming a regular main event performer but not quite there yet.

That could be KO's fate, but he'll excel regardless of what the creative team hand him. If there's one thing Money In The Bank proved, it's that Kevin Owens is the elite villain on WWE's payroll. He was also given a lofty role in the Ladder Match, being the most likely heel to leave with the briefcase.

Such a slice of booking was legitimately cool to see, because Owens is super-over with the WWE fan base. He was the man just ousted by Ambrose on his way to victory, giving the impression that the heel would have won had it not been for Dean's persistence.

Time is on the side of Owens, WWE's booking shows that they're keen on him. He was a far more realistic heel winner than either Chris Jericho or Alberto Del Rio.
