WWE Money In The Bank 2017: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
3. WWE Championship: Jinder Mahal (c) Vs. Randy Orton
Result: Jinder kills Orton with the Khallas to retain the title (20:50).
Rating: If they really wanted to push Jinder Mahal to the moon he'd be main eventing the show, but whatever. This was actually a perfectly fine match and better than many might want to admit, even if it was hardly a prestigious title bout and there wasn't ever any doubt Mahal would retain.
It was pretty hilarious when Randy left his own dad hanging for a high-five, on father's day no less, but overall all the shenanigans, especially interference from the Singhs, was lamely predictable as it ultimately led to Orton's downfall. The lack of a countout was weird, the ending was too similar to Backlash's, and Jinder spent way too much of the final stretch sleeping.
Low-effort ending aside, this was solid, but it's hard not to eye-roll at such transparently lazy booking. I'm also not sure the match needed to pass the 20-minute mark. 5/10
