WWE Money In The Bank 2017: Rating Each Entrant's Odds Of Winning

4. Sami Zayn

There’s still hope for Sami Zayn to make it as a main eventer. The affable Canadian has struggled since graduating from NXT, and much like Bayley, the company often book him to look like a total fool. He retains a significant following, however, and he’s still only 32 years old, giving him plenty of time to secure that ever elusive push.

Will it kick-off with a Money In The Bank victory? His chances aren’t great, but they’re not terrible either. SmackDown has staged a number of career revivals since the 2016 Draft (with The Miz being the best example), and Zayn’s undeniable skill and charisma make him an ideal candidate for such a push. Winning MITB would be a great way to do this, but the timing isn’t quite right.

Zayn’s feud with Baron Corbin is still simmering away, and while Sami won at Backlash, there’s a good chance ‘The Lone Wolf’ will avenge the loss, given WWE’s fondness for 50/50 booking. Years of weak writing means he likely needs a stronger rebuild before he can be presented as a potential WWE Title challenger, but Zayn would be a popular winner among the fans and his victory would be a pleasant surprise.

Chances: Moderate.
