WWE Money In The Bank 2017: Rating Each Entrant's Odds Of Winning

3. AJ Styles

He might not have the WWE Championship anymore, but when John Cena isn’t around, AJ Styles is comfortably SmackDown’s biggest star. The fans adore him regardless of what side of the alignment scale he sits on, and along with The Miz, his performances practically carried the show last year.

AJ’s transition from NJPW to WWE was seamless, and his star power has translated perfectly. He produces (WWE) Match Of The Year-calibre bouts with frightening regularity, and it’s extremely unlikely that WWE will ever let his push wane. His recent switch to the US Title division doesn’t feel like a demotion for Styles, but an elevation for the belt, and few would have reason to complain if he walked out of Money In The Bank 2017 with the briefcase in hand.

His United States Championship aspirations could prevent that from happening.

AJ’s first match with Kevin Owens ended with a lame count out, making it extremely likely that they’ll rematch on a forthcoming pay-per-view. The fact that he isn’t a champion gives him a stronger chance of winning than KO, but continuing their singles feud still seems a more likely destination for both men, even if either could feasibly do both at the same time.

Chances: Moderate.
