WWE Money In The Bank 2018: 10 Things WWE Got Right

4. Giving AJ Styles A Definitive Win

As much as it sucks to see Shinsuke Nakamura's sweet heel turn lead to nothing, it'd be silly to argue against keeping the WWE Title on AJ Styles. Years ago, the thought of Styles holding WWE's top prize for over 200 days and having a protracted series of solid pay-per-view matches against someone of Naka's standing seemed impossible.

It'd be churlish to complain when the standards are so high.

Besides, WWE came through for AJ again by having him rally against Shinsuke's heel tactics, punt him squarely in the balls and win strongly. The only downside here was that Styles, for some reason, still hasn't figured out a simple cup would save him from Shin's nut-shot attacks. Oh well, it's part of the story at least.

Styles is the antithesis of Brock Lesnar. He's not a part-timer who swans in for the big shows, he grafts to earn fan respect and he's become much more comfortable on the mic too. Putting him over so heartily was the best thing for business even if it did crap on Nakamura's parade a tad.
