5. Women's Money In The Bank: Asuka Vs. Shayna Baszler Vs. Nia Jax Vs. Dana Brooke Vs. Lacey Evans Vs. Carmella
Result: Asuka wins after grabbing the briefcase (22:00).
Rating: Asuka was absolutely delightful from the beginning, here, and having the elevator spot eventually make the women's and men's MITB matches intersect was a clever idea.
This was obviously all about the novelty appeal and ridiculous moments, and while not as jam-packed as the men's match, there were some fun beats, like Dana Brooke slipping over on the floor, and that tease of an Otis/Nia Jax showdown.
The in-ring portion of the match was over far too quickly, though, and pretty underwhelming considering that half the competitors didn't even make it to the roof. Also, what sense does it make for Corbin to attack Asuka when he's going after a different briefcase?
Oh, and the perfunctory Stephanie McMahon cameo was terrible, especially as it was clearly spliced in after the fact.
Still, the match was fine for a few laughs and the pacing kept up thanks to the constant cross-cutting with the men's bout. The right person won, and if nothing else, seeing Asuka smack Corbin around made it all worth it. 6/10
