WWE Money In The Bank 2021: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

A strange world in which Edge winning the Universal Title would be a WWE nightmare.

Every WWE pay-per-view has the potential to be a nightmare.

The company's booking style often drives off a cliff by crudely inserting too much unnecessary comedy. If they're not seeking laughs, then the creative team are seeking shocks for the sake of it - surprises can work if they're carefully thought out and have long-term purpose, but rarely pan out when they're only there to pop a quick trend on Twitter.

That's (sort of) the worry heading into Money In The Bank. WWE might see the throngs of eager faces staring back at them from the stands inside Fort Worth's Dickies Arena and decide that they need to create some buzz by making rash decisions. That thought is particularly distressing when it comes to the WWE and Universal Title scenes; neither belt needs to change hands right now.

What if those fans in attendance don't quite gobble up the current product either? That'd be a bit embarrassing, and it could totally backfire in both titular ladder matches if WWE aren't careful.

Prepare to journey through hell. Not "...In A Cell", but in the writing team's brains...

10. Tamina Takes The Final Spot

Count the faces on that MITB match graphic above and you'll reach seven. That leaves one spot open in the women's match, and most expect Sasha Banks to fill it on Friday's episode of SmackDown. If that doesn't happen (and it better), then WWE have the nightmare scenario of finding a better surprise.

It's going to be Tamina, isn't it?

Start fretting, because Raw's writers made a huge deal out of Natalya's involvement on Monday night. They might get lazy and decide that her Women's Tag-Team Title partner needs to come along for the trip to Texas too. If so, then expect a popcorn fart reaction from the live crowd.

One can't put it any plainer than this: Tamina is not a decent shout to take that final spot in the women's Money In The Bank match. She'd feel like a total letdown, and even more so if WWE waited until Sunday to announce it.
