WWE Money In The Bank 2021: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

1. Roman’s Reign Ends Now

If someone had called Edge becoming Universal Champ a "nightmare" following January's Royal Rumble, they'd have been rightly laughed out of the room. A lot has changed since January though. Roman Reigns, with more time to sink deeper into his role, has become the best character in WWE, and rumours suggest he'll meet John Cena at SummerSlam.

That, maybe unfairly, makes Edge a secondary concern.

Reigns has been great as a tyrannical dirtbag on Friday nights since last summer, and that doesn't feel like it should end quite yet. Being honest, it shouldn't end at the hands of Cena either - WWE have the chance to use Roman's brilliance to send someone lower down the card skyward. Big E is one hopeful who'd benefit, for example.

WWE will lose that opportunity if Edge wins the Universal Title on Sunday. They'd be flushing a star-making victory right down the drain.
