It's the hope that kills you.

Lashley cut an impassioned promo right at the tail end of Monday's flagship that showed he does have some promo chops after all. That, being honest, could be a long-term worry (what if WWE decide that Bob doesn't need MVP going forwards?) and lead to an unnecessary split no-one wants to see.

At MITB, Lashley must hold onto his WWE Title. Recent bouts with Xavier Woods show he's capable of selling without looking weak, so there should be no concerns about Bobby bouncing around for Kofi and giving fans in Texas something to shout about. The big man is capable of bumping his ass off.

In the end, Lashley needs to win and then rip the heads off his enemies. He can go full-on Braun Strowman circa 2017 by tearing up ringside and smashing Kingston with steel steps, steel chairs, moves through the announce tables and more.

WWE has awoken a 'Beast' in Bob, maybe in time for a Brock Lesnar showdown.
