WWE Money In The Bank 2021: 10 Things That Must Happen

John Cena needs to return (with a twist) and pop the WWE crowd.

Even the most jaded WWE fan could be wiping tears from their eyes at Money In The Bank, but why? Will such sobbing be down to a red hot pay-per-view that ticks all the boxes? Maybe it'll be due to an emotional title change? Perhaps an overlooked worker will grab the briefcase and pave their own path towards the top? No, no and no.

It'll be that pop.

Fans will be back in the house on pay-per-view for the first time since WrestleMania 37, and WWE are actually hyping this (as well as SummerSlam) as a little bigger than the so-called "biggest show of the year". The company owes its audience a night to be proud of - MITB must slay, and it must slay hard.

Massive comebacks, surprise briefcase winners and more are very-much required if this is going to be the banging return to fully-live action that everyone is praying for. WWE don't need to go overboard here though. A robust card with several key shocks and crowd-popping moments will be enough to satisfy.

Here's everything Vince McMahon's crew must do on Sunday to leave everyone breathless.

That Fort Worth crowd is going to be hotter than the contents of a microwaved pizza pocket, and it's vital that WWE capitalises on the buzz. One way to do that would be sending Bobby Lashley and Kofi Kingston out there first and opening with a bang.

Fans will be very happy to see Kofi.

No knock intended on Drew McIntyre here, but it is nice to see somebody different in there with Bobby after months of Lashley vs. the 'Scottish Warrior'. Kingston is a fine choice as interim challenger before SummerSlam brings out someone bigger - the New Day man fits the underdog role nicely.

The tease of another 'KofiMania' run is definitely there after Bobby fell to Xavier Woods on Monday's episode of Raw. Could WWE go all the way and crown Kingston for a second time at the expense of the red brand's biggest heel? Probably not, and they probably shouldn't anyway.
