WWE Money In The Bank 2026: 9 Things That NEED To Happen

3. Kevin Owens & CM Punk Cost One Another

Remember back at SummerSlam 2000 when Bubba-Ray Dudley went crashing "through 4 tables"? Edge and Christian shoved the future Bully Ray to his doom. Nah, Bubba didn't actually go through all 4 bits of woods, but it was a spectacular stunt nonetheless. It's also one Kevin Owens and CM Punk can borrow for MITB 2026 if they dare.

The pair had a worthwhile WWE Title match when Punk was still champ on the 21 August edition of SmackDown. That fell shortly after KO's emotional return at SummerSlam earlier the same month. Speaking of which, this has been an emotional time for Owens, not least because his good pal Ben 'PAC' Satterley sadly passed away on 27 September.

It'd be a surprise then if Kev didn't sport his black armband with "BEN" on it at Money In The Bank. As always, Owens will put his blood, sweat and tears into the performance. So, mind you, will Punk - his story calls for an unprecedented third MITB ladder match triumph, so there's a lot of personal story and stakes for both guys to lean on out there.

At one stage, Owens and Punk should be atop a ladder on opposite sides duking it out. Then, they'd take a shove from someone else in the match and go sprawling through a stack of tables that looked like it'd be used for a Bron Breakker power spot later on.

Nope, that was a red herring. Those tables were stacked up for this very spot, one that'd take 2 heroes out of the match at the same time (thus continuing their issues with one another).
