WWE: My WrestleMania 29 Experience

The Road To The Metlife

Metlife Outside A big bright lit up sign directed us out of the station with a promise of €œShuttle Busses to Izod€; so off we trotted and soon came upon some friendly blokes pointing us in the right direction who unfortunately told us we would need separate tickets for the coach. Once again we back tracked but soon enough we were on a packed coach finally going in the right direction for €˜Mania. What we didn€™t know was that we were on our way to the IZod and not the MetLife. Pulling into the €œparking lot€ of the Izod we bore witness to what was most likely the biggest queue we had seen in our lives. A shot of panic flew up us as we thought that this could possibly be the queue to get your tickets or even worse, the queue for the acclaimed superstore we were extremely eager to visit. (More on that later). We surveyed the scene first by taking a step back and having a crafty smoke. After a shot of common sense we decided that this was likely the queue for Axxess and nothing more (remember the lack of signage around?). So we made our way down the line to the main entrance of the Izod and thankfully it was indeed just the queue for Axxess. Thanking our lucky stars we weren€™t at all bothered about attending the event. Instead we decided to enquire at the portable €œBox Office€ just where we pick our Mania and RAW tickets up from and how we got across the freeway to the MetLife. (We suspected an ominous looking bridge) €œYou can pick them up right here and you just need to follow the signs for the bridge€ No queue and some genuine advice? This was a stroke of luck and once we had our tickets (which we were disappointed weren€™t branded or anything, boooo!)The wife settled herself down as the lack of tickets and having ordered them from thousands of miles away had made her quite ancy. We took one last look at the huge queue for Axxess, laughed, and made our way across the HUGE Bridge towards the MetLife. We appeared in the shadow of the giant stadium and my excitement got a little amped up. I finally felt like I was going to €˜Mania and the wife shared my joy. It was a bit windy but we could deal with that for now but we couldn€™t deal with an unbearable thirst we had acquired and set about looking for a fast food type place in which to purchase a tasty beverage. The first place we came to had a queue almost rivalling that of Axxess so we carried on around the outside of the MetLife, expecting there to be several more. No such luck it would appear and we certainly weren€™t going to wait half an hour to get a bottle of the fizzy stuff. Next stop; The Superstore...
