WWE: My WrestleMania 29 Experience

The GrandDaddy of them All

Stage Day The pre-show ended and you could genuinely feel the excitement rise from all corners of the MetLife. As soon as the Sandy video started, a huge roar went up. The video was great and really set the tone for the occasion. We both looked at each other unable to believe we were about to be live for a WrestleMania. Bring on the bell! As soon as Sheamus€™s Music hit the place was a little shocked that the 6 man tag was up first. It would appear no one on the floor just below us was paying any attention to the 3 main eventer€™s entrance as they were being stewarded out the way for The Shield. The audience was HOT for the three former NXT guys and the pop was huge. They emerged directly below us but catching sight of them was difficult in the throng of people. BRING ON THE BELL DAMMIT. first match So we watched our first ever televised WWE match and it involved three superstars and three guys well on their way to superstardom in a great opener. Again the outcome and resulting KO punches was inevitable but I believe most wanted to see a Sheamus or Orton heel turn. The boos were not meant for Big Show I don€™t think. Next up was the big man contest between Henry and Ryback. The crowd didn€™t care who they were supposed to boo or cheer and there was a lot of love shown to Mark that night. One of the biggest pops from the event live was Ryback lifting Henry for the Shellshocked. From our seats we couldn€™t really understand what had happened to gain Henry the victory hence the flat reaction. As soon as we saw the reply though we all got it and all farted simultaneously. The Tag Team Title match was over big! Ziggler had one of the loudest reactions of the night and you can€™t stop the €œYES!€ chants (so last year my ass). The crowd was hot for this one and the match played out great. Everyone wanted Ziggy and Big E to win but at the end it didn€™t really matter. We were certain we€™d be seeing Ziggler later on. Y2J Fireworks Now it€™s funny that fandango was not even slightly over at Mania but fast forward 24 hours he was the talk of the company. The dancing man€™s entrance was received quite well but Jericho€™s entrance is so good on its own that he got all our admiration as well as giving us our first firework display. Watching Mania you don€™t see them until you hear them so you tend to miss the whole thing. World Heavyweight title time and Ziggler was over so hard that the match become secondary. We found it really bizarre that Swagger made his entrance during the promo video and anyone wondering if they missed a great Mania entrance, you did not! Now, the guy I mentioned earlier who was making lots of noise was a huge supporter of Zeb and his ideas. In fact, he loudly declared several racists comments during this match but, seeing as he was quite funny at the same time, he just became part of the atmosphere. ADR and Swagger did their best but we wanted Ziggler and we let WWE know it.
