10. WWF Mania/Livewire
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tibDfZ0llJQ Say whatever you want about WWEs absurd attempts at fan participation by encouraging touting, tweeting, and downloads of the WWE App ad-infinitum; but they have been all about involving the fans for years. Nowhere was this more evident than their show,
WWF Livewire, which aired live on Sunday mornings, and fans would call in and have a direct line of interaction with Vince McMahon and whoever the special guest was at the time. I always loved the opportunity to watch these guys react off-the-cuff to non-scripted stuff. Who could forget the time Bruce from Connecticut called in and turned out to be none other than Paul E. Dangerously from Philadelphia? A fun fact about
WWF Livewire is that one of the hosts was Marissa Mizzola, who is married to Shane McMahon. Before
Livewire debuted in 1996, there was
WWF Mania, a zany, kid-friendly show that recapped all the big happenings of the week prior. It was hosted by Todd Pettingill and Randy Savage, and later a bubbly woman named Stephanie Wyland. I have no clue about whatever happened to her, but the sexual tension between her and Todd was palpable on that show.
