3. The Monday Night Wars Show
Part of the deal with WWE Network is a collection of
original programming that will be exclusive to the service. While I don't care much about a bunch of WWE Legends living in a house together or what Divas do when they're not on TV (I don't really care what they're doing when they are on TV, actually), there is reason to get excited. One of the rumored originals is a serialized program that recaps the famous Monday Night Wars of the 1990s, in which then-WWF and WCW went toe-to-toe every week in a battle for ratings. It was a great time to be a fan, but even looking back on it now it's a fascinating time to study for people interested in how sports and entertainment is bought and sold. The potential to relive great moments, see behind-the-scenes footage, and hear stories of the day from the men who lived it all is a great concept. If it's a weekly production it might be my first wrestling-based appointment viewing since I was 13.
