WWE: New Age Outlaws' 8 Most Memorable Moments

1. The Controversial Shoot Interview

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMuUfK2j1AE The Outlaws shoot interview was filmed in 2005 while both men were under contract to TNA wrestling. Having been released by the WWE, both men turned the interview into two hours of attempting to burn every bridge they ever built, with a particular focus on Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Almost as soon as their WWE tenure was mentioned they began ragging on DX and claimed that Shawn and Hunter desperately wanted the Outlaws to make them look cool back when they first got together as a team. They also claimed that the Montreal Screwjob was a work and that Bret Hart once called them into first class on a plane just to ask why they said Shawn Michaels was a better worker than him. Among other claims, they insinuated that Vince McMahon is gay and Road Dogg recounted a tale of telling him to "Go **** himself" when he tried to force him to be on TV while his wife was in hospital with a collapsed lung. Even their old pal Triple H was not exempt from their scorn as Billy Gunn claimed he always wanted to punch him in the face and he doesn't put over younger talent. Road Dogg was more upset by how stupid his moustache made him look. Later however, they somewhat contradicted their comments about putting talent over by saying they didn't want to job to RVD when he joined during the Invasion. Among other people who felt their wrath were JBL, John Cena, Chris Jericho, Jim Ross, Raven and DDP. At the time, they also said they would rather greet people at Walmart than return to WWE which they've clearly had a change of heart about. Most controversial was Road Dogg's talk about his drug use. He told one story about being so messed up on somas that he pissed himself all over a hotel room and another about hitting a deer while high. He claimed that one time Triple H wanted to have an intervention with him which ended in another argument. In fairness, he knew his problems and admitted he was a redneck who became a millionaire and didn't know how to handle the fame. After leaving WWE he blew through $300,000 in 6 months and wound up in jail. The interview clearly took place during a time that the Outlaws were particularly bitter about how their WWE careers ended up and they weren't very smart about how they answered many questions. To be fair though, it hasn't hurt them in the long run, as evidenced by their successful return to the WWE. While filming they claimed that it would probably get in the way of them ever going into the Hall of Fame. Almost ten years later, the Outlaws are most definitely deserving of a place in the Hall be it as a team or as part of Degeneration X as a whole.
