WWE Newcastle Live Review – 10 Interesting Observations You Need To Know

6. Problems

From a production standpoint, WWE suffered a major problem with the divas match. The arena lighting inexplicably went out halfway through. All that was left to put some light on the ring was a the spotlights, which didn't really offer much illumination. The girls just got on with things, and to be honest, the crowd didn't really care anyway. When the lights restored after about a minute, there was a mild pop. The whole thing was odd, as at first you wondered if it was some sort of angle being played. Nope, it was just a screw up in the technical department. It was the only major hitch. The rest of the show ran smoothly and there were no major botches or crowd troubles. A small group of fans tried to get a "Lana sucks Rusev" chant going at one point, but it was only audible to those sitting close to them. Lana actually acknowledged it and acted flattered. Stardust went over Goldust in an average match. It wasn't really a problem, but it is surprising that this feud ended up being such a throwaway thing. The match was instantly forgettable, despite both being good workers.
