To this day, Daniel Bryan credits his feud with The Miz as a launching point for his WWE career. The rivalry was natural, especially coming out of the original NXT show, during which Miz acted as the 'WWE Rookie' Bryan's 'WWE Pro'. As the underdog, Daniel Bryan had everything to prove, and fans wanted to rally behind him and see him shut The Miz up once and for all. It was simple storytelling, but extremely effective.
