WWE Night Of Champions 2026: 8 Things That NEED To Happen
1. Brock Lesnar Attacks Like Lawler In 1993
Again, WWE can still get to that blockbuster third bout between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi even if the latter wins King Of The Ring and is thus locked into a title showing vs. Reigns. Post-win, Brock would rampage out into the open, rip the crown from Femi's head and ambush him like Jerry Lawler did to Bret Hart back in 1993.
To make things even more visceral, Lesnar would be in jeans and boots. In kayfabe, WWE figureheads could claim they thought he was only in Saudi Arabia to do press and because he's one of the company's top stars. Nope. Brock was there to tear Oba's head clean off, put it on a spike and sow seeds for SummerSlam's possible retirement scenario.
Yes, Lesnar has launched a surprise attack on Femi before, but this repeat makes pure logical sense. All going well, having it happen after the KOTR final with Jey Uso would mean Oba could still win the entire tournament too (thus avoiding that previously-rubbished Jey vs. Cody effort that seems to have been pencilled in).
This ambush works whether Femi vs. Uso is the main event for Night Of Champions or not. It probably isn't, because the WWE Title 3-way is on the card, but Brock going full blown 'Beast' mode sounds fun regardless.
