Chris Jericho is one of the greatest professional wrestlers in the history of the business, and 2008 was a real highlight year for Y2J. He was embroiled in an incredibly heated feud with Shawn Michaels at the time where he famously punched Shawn's wife as well as hurling him through the Jeri-Tron 5000.

As such his in-ring work was on point, and it shows in this excellent Intercontinental Championship match from that year. Kofi Kingston was still fairly fresh at the time, which helped.

There were plenty of shenanigans in the finish, Lance Cade and Shawn Michaels were both involved, and Kofi came out with the belt.

Other Options - Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler (2011), The Miz vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Sin Cara (2012)

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
