WWE Night Of Champions Results: 10 Things We Learned
2. Kane Is Rollins Next Opponent
After Seth Rollins had beaten Sting to defend the WWE Title, Sheamus ran down the aisle and seemed set to cash in his Money In The Bank contract. From out of nowhere, Kane appeared, returning to being underneath his trademark mask once again. Chokeslamming the Irishman, the 'Big Red Machine' then turned his attentions to Rollins. Kane's latest break from WWE was written as a falling out with Rollins. From there, his ankle was battered by Brock Lesnar, and Rollins badmouthed him during promos. It seems this is something creative are eager to follow up on, and they have seemingly penned Kane as Seth's next challenger for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. There's no doubt the pair will have matches going forward, because this wasn't 'Corporate Kane' who showed up on the Pay-Per-View. Monday Night Raw will now surely feature The Authority demanding an explanation for Kane's actions against their crown jewel. A match between Rollins and Kane shouldn't be far off getting booked following that segment.
