WWE Night Of Champions Results: 10 Things We Learned

3. Seth Rollins Proves He's WWE's MVP

During the Kickoff show, Booker T reminisced about the time he faced both Rick Martel and Perry Saturn in back-to-back matches on Pay-Per-View. Those bouts opened up WCW's SuperBrawl VIII event in 1998, and Booker won both to win (from Martel) and then defend (against Saturn) the WCW Television Title. Seth Rollins was aiming to do something similar at Night Of Champions. Of course, Rollins would lose the WWE United States Title to John Cena, but he did manage to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event opposite Sting. Regardless of the fact he lost one of the bouts, Rollins proved himself to be one of the most valuable in-ring performers WWE have under contract in 2015. Wrestling for around 35 minutes, he shone continually during both matches. There are few who can entertain for such a length of time in the ring nowadays, certainly in WWE, but Seth Rollins is definitely one of them. The match against Cena was arguably better from a pacing perspective, but the bout with Sting also had something to offer.
