Previously, nobody could have much justification to be bothered by the KFC advert starring Dolph Ziggler and The Miz that runs on WWE programming. Existing only as harmless fun, seeing Ziggler dress up as Colonel Sanders and beat Miz (wearing a giant chicken costume) is hardly the most out-there thing longtime fans have witnessed over the years.

Unashamedly silly, the segment could even be construed as entertaining upon first viewing. Sadly, WWE made the decision to air it on the Kickoff show right before No Mercy. There's one major flaw with this strategy, The Miz and Dolph Ziggler were set to do battle in a huge 'Career vs. Title' bout on the pay-per-view itself.

This means that less than a few hours before Dolph's career could potentially be ended, he was shown hamming it up with his supposedly hated rival. The serious nature of the WWE Intercontinental Title match should never have been diluted by this chicken-related silliness solely designed to promote a fast food chain.

Somebody needs a stern talking to for that production choice.
