WWE No Mercy 2016: 10 Things You May Have Missed

7. WWE Put Over Their First Scottish TV Tapings

Due to an undisclosed injury, SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch was unable to appear at No Mercy as scheduled. There, she had been set to defend her gold against the spitfire Alexa Bliss. Offering up no apology for the cancelled match, WWE instead aired a brief backstage segment involving Bliss, Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon.

It was Bryan who broke the news, saying that Alexa would instead have her title opportunity on November 8 in Glasgow, Scotland. It felt unique to hear the General Manager announce where that particular episode of SmackDown Live would be beamed live from, showing that WWE management are taking their first ever Scottish tapings seriously.

On November 7 and 8, WWE will bring both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown to The Hydro venue in the city for the first time ever. Everybody in the country is excited by this, although nobody would have expected the company to reference one specific show at No Mercy.

Very deliberately, Bryan spelled out the situation to Bliss, not only saying the date of her title shot but also the location.
