Along with the exciting Triple Threat encounter involving AJ Styles, John Cena and Dean Ambrose, The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler was one of the better matches of the night at No Mercy. Having worked together extensively, Ziggler and Miz effortlessly put on a wonderful display. In the middle of their scrap, they also managed to reference a previous battle.

At Backlash, Maryse sprayed perfume in Dolph's eyes behind the referee's back. This directly aided her husband in picking up the victory and holding onto his WWE Intercontinental Title. At No Mercy, the heel duo were up to their old tricks again, only this time things didn't end as planned for the villains.

Lifting the same spot from Backlash, Maryse again sprayed the substance in Ziggler's face. Temporarily blinded, it looked like the end might be nigh for the babyface. On this occasion, Dolph was able to survive.

It was nifty to see the trio involved use the finish of the last pay-per-view and have Dolph overcome it. This sold the idea that The Miz and Maryse were using up every idea they had and it still wasn't enough.
