WWE No Mercy 2017: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
7. Universal Title: Brock Lesnar (c) Vs. Braun Strowman
Result: Brock nails Braun with an F-5 to retain the belt (9:00).
Rating: This was a totally mixed bag of a main event, beginning well with Braun controlling things before Lesnar managed to gain the upper hand and finish things off rather quickly.
After building Strowman up so well for so long, it really seemed like he deserved to lose while still having Brock's number. It would've been much more satisfying if Brock had to resort to cheap tactics or straight-up cheating to fell the big man, but instead he beat him after just a single F-5, when it should've taken at least two or three.
It's hard to imagine Strowman recovering well from this in terms of future main event prospects, and Brock's clearly going to be gone for a while. This had the potential to be another brutal sprint of a main event, but it ended up oddly unsatisfying, when some basic common sense booking could've made it work. 5/10
