Ric flair avoids retirement at the hands of Mr Kennedy Three months prior to the event Vince McMahon had enforced a continuing stipulation to Ric Flair that if he loses a match he will be forced to retire. Flair had all ready defeated numerous opponents before going into the match with Mr Kennedy, who was determined to make a name for himself by being the man that retired the legend. In the match itself wooooos echoed the arena as Flair made his entrance. The match was a slow paced affair with Kennedy having the upper hand for most of the bout. Kennedy was pulling in the heat from the crowd, stealing Flairs figure four leg lock which he applied both outside against the ring post and in the middle of the ring but to no avail, he even did a strut which had boo's rain through. Flair finally managed to get some momentum and slapped on his figure four and Kennedy banged the mat in submission. Not a stellar attempt but the crowd popped big, especially for the finish. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0-EiaGpsFM Cutting a promo Flair didn't stop... 'Your winner and still the limousine riding, jet flying, kiss stealing, wheeling dealing, never going to retire son of a gun... The Nature Boy Ric Flair... Woooooo!' Unfortunately Flair's time as a competitive wrestler in WWE would end shortly a month later at the hands of Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania. As the above suggests through No Way Out's fourteen year existence only a handful of matches and moments stand out. Can No Way Out 2012 be added to the list? Or will it pass uneventfully by and be lost in the back of the fans minds...
