With WWE's No Way Out pay-per-view happening later tonight, we take a look back at some of the stand out moments of past No Way Out pay per views over the years. Before No Way Out became one of the fixed pay per views in WWE's calendar it was originally produced under the In Your House series, called: No Way Out of Texas. The event took place back in 1998, not coincidentally in Texas. The top match was headlined by a non sanctioned 8 man tag which pitted Steve Austin, Owen Hart, Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie (Terry Funk) against a team of Triple H, Savio Vega and the New Age Outlaws. Then WWE Champion Shawn Michaels was supposed to take part but was unable to compete due to his back injury and he was being nursed through to defend his title against Austin at WrestleMania a month later, so Savio Vega took his place. From 2000 onwards, No Way Out became a fixture in WWE's calendar as the February pay-per-view before WrestleMania. Here are the most memorable moments from the event's history...

1. No Way Out 2000

Cactus Jack vs Triple H - Hell in a Cell - WWE Championship The memorable main event was Cactus jack vs Triple H in a Hell in a Cell for the WWE Championship (then WWF) with the stipulation that if Cactus Jack (Mick Foley) lost he would have to retire. The match itself was a brutal affair, flaming barbed wire 2x4's, faces a crimson mess, the obligatory Foley cell dive from the top of the cell... You would be hard shocked to see such a violent, hardcore brawl in today's WWE. Whilst many shots and moves brought you to quiver, the most devastating blow was when Triple H threw the steel steps at the head of Foley, connecting with an extreme force. That was brutal. 'The son of a gun is standing up, how in the hell is Cactus Jack standing up!' JR screamed as Foley climbed to his feet after a 20 foot fall. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClP2jHvrmKE The bumps and shots Foley absorbed were surreal, having complete disregard for his own body. Surely with such self abuse I can't imagine Foley not waking up each day with an aching, painful body in 2012. It all ended with Triple H back body dropping Jack through the roof of the cell, the move eclipsed the cell crash from his bout with the Undertaker as Foley plowed through the canvas. Holy Shit chants filled the arena, Stephanie had a devilish smile as she gripped the cage peering in at the massacre. As stated the match was pure brutality, but not out of place for the era that they were in. Although Mick Foley lost the match he still went on to realise his dream and main event Wrestlemania. He competed in a Fatal four way Elimination match, with the stipulation of each McMahon in the corner of their selected wrestler. Going forward, twelve years later Foley is still competing. The stipulation in reality would never be adhered to despite Foley insisting at the time that this was his last night in a ring, but then this wasn't the first and won't be the last.
