WWE Not Giving Up On THIS Roman Reigns Feud?

The latest SmackDown suggested that WWE won't throw the towel in just yet.

WWE might not be done with Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Roman Reigns after all.

On this week's SmackDown, Shin expressed his frustrations with The Bloodline during a backstage promo. Sami Zayn overheard Nakamura's words and snitched on the former IC Champ to Paul Heyman - later, Adam Pearce booked a singles match between both guys for Friday's episode.

Zayn won that via count out, but the announcers implied that Shinsuke's crack at the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion will still happen at some point in the near future. If so, then it'll probably be a TV feud instead of pay-per-view.

WWE has Hell In A Cell coming up after WrestleMania Backlash, and it seems unlikely that Nakamura vs. Reigns will be locked inside the cage. Drew McIntyre is also due his own Undisputed Title shot, and he's definitely ahead of Shin in the queue.

Still, it's interesting that creative aren't throwing the towel in on Naka just yet. He looked to be out of the title hunt over the past few weeks, but this past Friday's SmackDown pulled him back in.

Sami is also apparently the gatekeeper for Roman right now. Beat him and you move up the card.
