Asuka vs. Bayley for the NXT Women's Title was always going to be one of the most lively matches on Brooklyn II. Before the bell had even started ringing, Bayley had turned from lively 'girl next door' to super-serious pro wrestler, ready to take back the title she lost to her Japanese counterpart in April.

Naturally, the live crowd were firmly in Bayley's corner. People would find out why this match wasn't in the actual main event slot, and it was pretty much because Asuka was booked to leave as champion. In terms of quality, there was next to nothing between this and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Samoa Joe.

Women's wrestling has come far in WWE, and NXT plays a major role in that. Post-match, Asuka showed respect to Bayley. Then, the latter made a short tour around ringside, stopping off to hug Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and even Charlotte. In a nice touch, Charlotte wasn't sitting with the other women.

Bayley will make it to the main roster sometime soon, there was a farewell quality in her reaction to loss here.
