The NXT Tag Team Championship opener set the tone for what would be a memorable show. The match was stuffed with awesome moments, but Dash Wilder's creative tag prevention topped them all. With Chad Gable on the receiving end of the routine beating at the hands of the heel pairing of Dash and Scott Dawson, fans awaited the tag that would allow American Alpha to turn the tide. The Revival prevented a number of tags, but this one in particular was extraordinarily inventive. As Gable fought to create some separation, the path was cleared for the tag to Jason Jordan. Unbeknownst to the fans, Wilder crawled under the ring and emerged behind Jordan, ripping him from the apron to everyone's surprise. It may have been small, but the inventive prevention stood out in a match format that is generally repetitive.
