WWE NXT Takeover London - 10 Interesting Observations From Attending Live

WhatCulture's Dean Ayass reports on the live crowd experience of NXT's final Network Special of the year.

On December 16th, NXT made a little bit of history when they broadcast their Takeover London Special live on the WWE Network. This was the culmination of a week-long tour of the UK which took in typical WWE locations like Newcastle, Nottingham, Glasgow and Cardiff, as well as a stop-off in Blackpool, which was surely done as a tip of the hat to all the work that Blackpool native William Regal has done for the company and for NXT over the years. Unfortunately, Regal had to fly back to the US after some complications from his recent neck surgery, meaning that he missed the live special. He would surely have received the most fantastic welcome but he will be back for sure. It could very well be that this was a little tester to the possibility of the WWE bringing a full scale pay-per-view show to the UK. NXT Takeover London aired live on the Network, meaning that American based fans would see it in the early afternoon on the west coast€.it€™s still better than the 1am starts that us Brits have to put up with! However, with the Network making PPV buy rates less and less relevant, and a live special from Japan already airing on the Network, it makes live specials from around the world more of a possibility. The dream of a WrestleMania emanating from Wembley Stadium or the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff lives on. However, you don€™t always get the full picture from watching on TV. Here are some interesting observations from being part of the live audience last night...
