WWE NXT Takeover London - 10 Interesting Observations From Attending Live

10. Security Was Very Tight

Ever since the story did the rounds in the day before the Survivor Series about terrorist group ISIS targeting the venue, the WWE have taken no chances, even though the rumour has largely been discredited. Fans were advised to arrive early to allow for additional security and the SSE Arena put up an advisory statement on their website regarding the event. It included a long list of items that were prohibited. € Travel Bags and Briefcases€ Backpacks€ Large Women€™s handbags (small purses allowed)€ Video Cameras or Recording Devices€ Laser Pointers or Noise Makers€ Weapons of any kind€ Alcoholic Beverages, Illegal Drugs or Paraphernalia€ Selfie Sticks€ Lap Top Computers or Tablets€ Coolers€ Luggage of any kind€ Camera Bags€ Masks (Only WWE brand masks will be permitted) Now, while I€™m all for banning selfie sticks, it is puzzling that they feel that no self-respecting terrorist would want to be seen wearing a Sin Cara mask. One of my party had trouble getting their small handbag through, despite it containing potentially lifesaving medication for her husband. After a discussion with security, she was eventually allowed through. The security staff kept emphasising that these were not Wembley€™s rules. This had been laid down by the WWE themselves.
