WWE NXT Takeover London - 10 Interesting Observations From Attending Live

3. Bayley Is The Best Babyface In WWE Right Now

Everyone loves Bayley, it would seem. Both men and women were wearing €œI€™m A Hugger€ t shirts. Two fans were even dressed up as Bayley€™s wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube men (thanks, Family Guy). She is the ultimate babyface and the most genuine and marketable babyface that the WWE (not just NXT, the whole WWE) have right now. There€™s no Cena style backlash. There€™s no rebel fans fed up with her. Everyone is behind her, because she is portrayed as just a normal person (like the fans) who grew up as a huge wrestling fan (like the fans) who is now living her dream (and so the fans can live vicariously through her). The fans live reacted with shock and delight when Bayley finally made Nia Jax tap (again, like Asuka€™s match, the crowd were into submissions in a women€™s€™ match) because I believe that most people thought that Bayley was going to drop the title. They worked the match well, with the big versus little dynamic executed well. I did feel that it was too early in her run to put Nia Jax into a title match and now that she€™s lost, her aura may diminish somewhat. But Bayley is certainly a jewel in NXT€™s ever growing crown right now.
