8. Near-Guarantee: American Alpha Will Continue Their Reign As NXT Tag Team Champions
Chalk this one up in the record books because there is no way American Alpha are dropping the NXT Tag Team Championship titles back to The Revival.
If it weren't for the 'compulsory' rematch clause provided to the losers of a championship, it's debatable whether this match would even be happening. In a division which has pioneered WWE's tag team wrestling resurgence, this is arguably the most tag team 'eh' match of any TakeOver special so far. That's not to say it's a bad match-up, but more of an indication of just how awesome the division has been over NXT's short existence.
American Alpha and The Revival's match at TakeOver: Dallas, during which Chad Gable and Jason Jordan won the titles, was enjoyable enough that a rematch will be worth seeing at the very least. Aside from one very obvious botch, the contest was another fantastic display of tag team wrestling.
It's in the execution and storytelling that this match will be judged; the result is a given. Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson couldn't possibly win back their titles the week after losing to Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, could they?
