It’s been a tough week.. coming to terms with a partial LCL tear, but working with medical staff to get back as soon as I can. You can’t keep me down.

There is currently no word on the severity of Catanzaro's injury or how long, exactly, she will be out for. NXT had issued one of their semi-worked Injury Reports stating that Kacy wasn't medically cleared to compete and was awaiting more information on her condition, following on from Xia Li's assault on her leg during last week's show.

2020 was a year of increased activity for Catanzaro, primarily through her tag team with Kayden Carter. The duo made it to the semi-finals of the first Women's Dusty Rhodes Classic, defeating Mercedes Martinez and Toni Storm before they were put out by the eventual winners, Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez.

Catanzaro and Carter have since defeated Aliyah and Jessi Kamea, though Kacy's match with Li ended via referee's stoppage.
