WWE Payback: 19 Things You Might Have Missed

16. Sheamus Is A Move-Thief

Vikings are well-known for pillaging, I guess. During his match with Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus stole signature moves from two high-profile fellow wrestlers. First, he pilfered Orton's backbreaker, but the slight clumsiness with which he did it suggests that he was possibly going for something else, lost his balance and converted it into the signature backbreaker at the last moment. The second is more egregious, and possibly a coded message. Towards the later stages of the match, Sheamus dropped Ziggler with a Batista Bomb, which Dolph kicked out of at 2. Stealing another superstar's finisher, and cheapening it by having your opponent kick out is quite a big deal. The day before Payback, Batista had taken to twitter to lambast the company for not pushing Titus O'Neil, using the hashtag, #SameOldBullsh**. It's possible that WWE instructed Sheamus and Ziggler to cheapen the Batista Bomb as retaliation. Or maybe the sit-out power bomb is no longer considered a finisher by WWE. The first theory's more fun though.
