WWE Payback 2020: 10 Things That Must Happen
3. WWE Change Keith Lee's PPV Debut
It needs to be said: Keith Lee's debut on Raw did hint that WWE know how valuable a player he could be on Monday nights. Switching brands and instantly being programmed against a star the magnitude of Randy Orton isn't a bad spot, but it'd be 10x better if Randy didn't have something else going on at the same time.
That makes Lee background noise in the WWE Title rivalry between Orton and Drew McIntyre. It also means he's likely to lose if the booking for Payback goes ahead and he wrestles Randy a second time. WWE should seriously think about changing this beforehand by having someone lay big Keith out early in the night.
Then, shock and indeed horror, Orton wouldn't have an opponent and McIntyre could point the finger of blame at Randy. This would smartly avoid an unnecessary loss for Lee on his first pay-per-view as a Raw star and lead to something that's coming anyway.
You guessed it...
