WWE Payback 2020: 8 Nightmares That Could Come True

2. Keith Lee Gets Lost In The Shuffle

Monday's Raw was an inauspicious debut on the brand for former NXT Champ Keith Lee.

On one hand, he got to wrestle one of the biggest stars in company history and he didn't have to do a clean job. On the other, he's a third wheel in this continuing Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre rivalry, and it's pretty hard to see him getting his hand raised on Sunday at Payback.

Orton will get another shot at McIntyre's WWE Title, which means the writers will want to keep him strong for that inevitable rematch. There's no way they're going to look at Lee and think he should be beating Randy right now, unless... wait, what if the plan is to put Keith in there and make the next title bout a Triple Threat?

No, it's unfair to tease oneself like that. Standard WWE practice dictates that it's enough of a rub for Lee to have back-to-back matches against someone the level of Orton. He's likely losing this weekend and then spinning off into his own feud.

If he gets lost in the midcard pack, it'll be a disgrace.
